# Dinero: how to read it into Maplith

*Accounting · also known as Visma Dinero, Dinero Regnskab · last checked 2026-10-08 · recipe `maplith://systems/dinero`*

Dinero holds a small company's customers and suppliers, sales invoices, products, chart of accounts and every booked posting, which tie sales and payments to the books.

## Best path

**Recommended: your agent fetches it.** Dinero runs its own MCP server (beta), tested by Dinero with Claude and ChatGPT, so a customer who has connected it can let their own agent describe the accounts, contacts, products and invoices directly. Posting history over many months is better taken as a CSV export, because fetching thousands of rows through a chat is slow and costly.

Try the paths in this order (ADR-0031):

1. **Your agent fetches it**, with the access your human already gave you. Connectors a vendor or client page confirms: Dinero MCP added as a custom connector in Claude or ChatGPT. The customer's agent uses only the look-up tools of the Dinero MCP: chart of accounts, contacts, products, invoices and accounting figures. It must not use the tools that create invoices, contacts or vouchers.
2. **Maplith reads an MCP server your human already has.** Official: **Dinero MCP (beta)**. Endpoint to connect to: `https://mcp.dinero.dk/mcp`. Documentation (a page to read, not an address to connect to): https://dinero.dk/funktioner/mcp/. Access: There is no read-only token. The person adds the server address shown on Dinero's MCP page, logs in with their Dinero user through Visma Connect and approves access. Access can be removed again under Konto, Brugerprofil, Gå til Visma Connect, Autoriserede Application. Beta: Dinero says it may have errors and can change. It has write tools (create invoices, contacts, products, book purchase vouchers), so the agent should be told to use look-up tools only. Access covers every company linked to that Dinero user, and it is available on some plans (Dinero Pro and Dinero Total). Maplith cannot read this server: it offers tools or a personal sign-in to an agent, not resources Maplith reads. Maplith reads only a server that serves MCP resources and takes a token a person types under Data sources › Systems in the Maplith app, such as the customer-run template for a database (ADR-0028). Your human can connect this server to you instead, as path 1.
3. **Export files**, the fallback that always works: see *Export steps* below.

## Datasets that make a good map

| Dataset | One row is | Key columns | Joins to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Contacts (Kontakter) | One customer or supplier. | contact id, CVR number (VAT number) of a business customer, EAN number, external reference, contact email (Maplith tries to mask it) | CRM companies by CVR number; webshop customers by email; payment providers by customer email. |
| Sales invoices (Fakturaer) | One sales invoice with its lines, totals, dates and payment status. | invoice number, contact id, external reference, invoice date, payment date, product id on each line, account number on each line | Webshop orders by order reference in the external reference; payment providers and bank lines by invoice number; Contacts by contact id. |
| Products (Produkter) | One product or service that can be put on an invoice. | product number, product id, account number, external reference | Webshop and inventory products by product number (SKU); invoice lines by product id. |
| Postings (Posteringer) | One booked line on one account, with date, voucher and amount. | account number, voucher number, date, VAT code, contact id | Chart of accounts by account number; bank statements and payouts by date and amount; invoices and purchase vouchers by voucher number. |
| Chart of accounts (Kontoplan) | One account in the ledger, with number, name, type and VAT code. | account number, account name, VAT code | Postings, invoice lines and products by account number. |

Columns are named, never their values. Maplith tries to mask personal data such as email addresses, but that is best effort: your human decides what goes in.

## Read-only access

**Who usually has the rights:** The owner of the Dinero account, or the external accountant who already has access to it.

**For the key your own agent's client uses, choose only these read permissions:** `dineropublicapi:read`, `offline_access`

**Where to click:**

1. Integrationer (left menu)
2. Se og opret API-nøgler
3. Personlig Integration
4. Anmod om API-credentials
5. Save the client id and secret shown; Dinero approves within a working day
6. Note: a personal integration can read and write; only a registered public integration can ask for the read scope alone

A key or token made here stays in the tool that reads the system for your human, never in a chat. Maplith asks for one only under Data sources › Systems in the app, and only for an MCP server it can read.

## Export steps

**Format:** CSV · **Date range:** The current and previous financial year

1. Chart of accounts: open Regnskab, choose Kontoplan and click Hent som CSV (semicolon separated).
2. Postings: open Regnskab, choose Posteringer, leave Fra konto and Til konto empty for all accounts, click Søg i bilag, then Download (CSV).
3. Contacts: open the Kontakter page and use its export option.
4. Products: export them the same way from Salg, Produkter.
5. Invoices: the Dinero help pages Maplith checked do not describe a CSV list of invoices; invoice totals appear in the postings export, or the agent can list invoices through the Dinero MCP.

## Volume hint

**About 10–300 invoices; 100–2,000 postings a month** (an estimate). Estimate for a small company, not a measured figure: Dinero is aimed at micro and small companies, and each invoice or voucher creates a few postings.

Every row an agent reads passes through its context, about one token per four characters. Above a few thousand rows a dataset, or for a daily refresh, prefer an MCP server or an export over fetching through the chat.

## Always

- Read-only, and never a credential sent to Maplith through the chat.
- The same recent period, a few months, from every system.
- Your human decides what goes in.
