Read Dinero into Maplith

Dinero holds a small company's customers and suppliers, sales invoices, products, chart of accounts and every booked posting, which tie sales and payments to the books.

Best path

Recommended: your agent fetches it. Dinero runs its own MCP server (beta), tested by Dinero with Claude and ChatGPT, so once you have connected it, your agent can describe the accounts, contacts, products and invoices directly. Posting history over many months is better taken as a CSV export, because fetching thousands of rows through a chat is slow and costly.

Try the paths in this order:

  1. Your agent fetches it, with the access you already gave it. Connectors a vendor or client page confirms: Dinero MCP added as a custom connector in Claude or ChatGPT. Your agent uses only the look-up tools of the Dinero MCP: chart of accounts, contacts, products, invoices and accounting figures. It must not use the tools that create invoices, contacts or vouchers.
  2. Maplith reads an MCP server you already run. Dinero runs Dinero MCP (beta). Its address is https://mcp.dinero.dk/mcp. Documentation: dinero.dk. There is no read-only token. The person adds the server address shown on Dinero's MCP page, logs in with their Dinero user through Visma Connect and approves access. Access can be removed again under Konto, Brugerprofil, Gå til Visma Connect, Autoriserede Application. Beta: Dinero says it may have errors and can change. It has write tools (create invoices, contacts, products, book purchase vouchers), so the agent should be told to use look-up tools only. Access covers every company linked to that Dinero user, and it is available on some plans (Dinero Pro and Dinero Total). Maplith cannot read this server itself, because it offers tools or a personal sign-in to an agent. Connect it to your agent instead, as the first path.
  3. Export files, the fallback that always works. See the export steps below.

Datasets that make a good map

DatasetOne row isKey columnsJoins to
Contacts (Kontakter)One customer or supplier.contact id, CVR number (VAT number) of a business customer, EAN number, external reference, contact email (Maplith tries to mask it)CRM companies by CVR number; webshop customers by email; payment providers by customer email.
Sales invoices (Fakturaer)One sales invoice with its lines, totals, dates and payment status.invoice number, contact id, external reference, invoice date, payment date, product id on each line, account number on each lineWebshop orders by order reference in the external reference; payment providers and bank lines by invoice number; Contacts by contact id.
Products (Produkter)One product or service that can be put on an invoice.product number, product id, account number, external referenceWebshop and inventory products by product number (SKU); invoice lines by product id.
Postings (Posteringer)One booked line on one account, with date, voucher and amount.account number, voucher number, date, VAT code, contact idChart of accounts by account number; bank statements and payouts by date and amount; invoices and purchase vouchers by voucher number.

Columns are named, never their values. Maplith tries to mask personal data such as email addresses, but that is best effort: you decide what goes in.

The access to give

Who usually has the rights: The owner of the Dinero account, or the external accountant who already has access to it.

Choose the narrowest access that covers the data:

  • dineropublicapi:read
  • offline_access

Where to click:

  1. Integrationer (left menu)
  2. Se og opret API-nøgler
  3. Personlig Integration
  4. Anmod om API-credentials
  5. Save the client id and secret shown; Dinero approves within a working day
  6. Note: a personal integration can read and write; only a registered public integration can ask for the read scope alone

A key or token made here stays in the tool that reads the system, never in a chat. Maplith asks for one only under Data sources › Systems in the app.

Export steps

Format: CSV Date range: The current and previous financial year

  1. Chart of accounts: open Regnskab, choose Kontoplan and click Hent som CSV (semicolon separated).
  2. Postings: open Regnskab, choose Posteringer, leave Fra konto and Til konto empty for all accounts, click Søg i bilag, then Download (CSV).
  3. Contacts: open the Kontakter page and use its export option.
  4. Products: export them the same way from Salg, Produkter.
  5. Invoices: the Dinero help pages Maplith checked do not describe a CSV list of invoices; invoice totals appear in the postings export, or the agent can list invoices through the Dinero MCP.

How much data

About 10–300 invoices; 100–2,000 postings a month (an estimate). Estimate for a small company, not a measured figure: Dinero is aimed at micro and small companies, and each invoice or voucher creates a few postings.

An agent that reads rows through a chat reads every one of them, about one token per four characters. Above a few thousand rows a dataset, or for a daily refresh, an MCP server or an export is the better path.

Always

  • Read-only, and never a credential sent to Maplith through a chat.
  • The same recent period, a few months, from every system.
  • You decide what goes in.
